Si Chuan♥


"親愛的, 如果您還活著, 記得我愛你"

"My dearest baby, if you're still alive, remember that I love you" (translated)

These were the last words a mother whispered to her 4 month old baby. She had used her body as a shield to protect her baby from the crashing walls around them during the earthquake.


The Si Chuan Earthquake took away many lives and tore many others apart. A middle-aged couple lost not just one little twin, but two. A double miracle...their lives extinguished in a blink of an eye.

Countless of such tragedies still exist, unspoken of. The hurt and the emotional suffering the living felt is impossible for any of us to fully understand. We may feel a deep ache in our hearts when we see and hear their stories and see the photos, but it'll only last for a while. That ache may go away within a few days, maybe a month,

but that ache, that very deep ache we felt is felt EVEN stronger by those who lost their loved ones, their homes, in the earthquake, and the ache stays in their hearts even longer.

Just imagine losing your younger sibling or losing your parents, to see them again after the earthquake, no longer living...the feeling is indescribable.

Do help all you can, WHATEVER you can to help them, please.

It may not have to be donations, even a prayer would do.

Even sending words of encouragement helps, let the lone know that they are in fact NOT alone, that they will be remembered by us.

To the Si Chuan victims:
You're not alone. You can pull through. Believe in yourself. (:
Always always have hope no matter what.
