A Disturbing Thought♥

"It is indeed a refreshing idea to see Aaron Yan, Gui Gui, Xiao Gui and Julian Yang acting in idol drama, "Thunderbolt M.I.T". However, the drama had receives much criticism from netizens especially after the announcement on yesterday's MIT Thunderbolt Press Conference that it will have its first filming taking place soon. Most Aaron's fans dislike the idea of having Gui Gui and Aaron being a pair. This criticism was later 'defended' by rational fans. Yet, the latter also used daring and insulting words like, "It's after all a drama with Aaron being the male lead and not by a ghost [Gui Gui]. So, lets watch it!" Yesterday, Gui Gui confessed that she did used the internet to check up on the actors' information. Thus, she knew that Aaron's fans dislike her. "I felt distressed after reading those comments."She expressed sadly.Surprisingly, most unfavorable comments were left on Hong Kong's MIT Thunderbolt Forum. Once seeing the poster of MIT Thunderbolt and confirming GuiGui is the female lead, Aaron Hong Kong's fans were greatly disapproved. "WHAT? I don't want her as the female lead!" - written by Netizen 'Howing'."I'm not complaining about Gui Gui, but I hope the poster would changed soon!"-another comment made by Netizen '醉愛布則'.Gui Gui who also has kissing scenes with Aaron, was pressurized and afraid to be scolded by fans. Fortunately, she has a determined character. "Having many open discussions meant that they have keep an eye on this drama and my acting. Thus, it still feels good. I'll try my best to portray the role well, making those netizens to be fully convinced!"**Gui [鬼] means Ghost in Chinese. Thus, the netizens are referring this 'Gui' to Gui Gui as the latter has the nickname as 'Gui Gui'

After reading this article, it struck me darn silly to think that there are actually fans out there who are apparently so "protective" over their idols that they have resorted to impeccable insults. all the rantings of protesting about Gui Gui and Arron working together is getting a bit tiring.

Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with their pairing. Yes, it's probably a bit weird as we probably never thought of them working together to produce a drama, but why can't we just give Gui Gui a break?

I feel absolutely awful to think that there are fans out there that are already taking a bias protest against her working with Arron. I mean, she seriously did NOTHING wrong to offend anyone.

In fact, she's clearly trying her best to be nice. She obviously knows about the MAJOR protests abt her working with Arron, but she's still so strong and determined to make this work. It takes a lot of courage to have that sort of response. I do not know anything about Gui Gui or that she was in Hei She Hui Mei Mei until I discovered that she will be in the drama and when I went to find out who she was, she doesn't seem as bad as so many people have made her out to be.

So what if wang zi and her look better? It's just a drama. Be happy for Arron and Gui Gui that they have a drama to do. It's a chance for them to shine anyway. (: and Gui Gui doesn't seem to awful, I think many fans are getting too critical on her. I sympathize her and admire her for having to put on a brave front in response to the awful comments I'm sure she's either heard or seen. I feel that somehow, this "protest" has gone a little too far.

Imagine if you're in Gui Gui's shoes. I'm sure you'll feel terrible and misunderstood. I mean, Gui Gui's already been, in a way, shunned by some Arron fans just because she's working with Arron. She's been unfairly judged already before she can even be given a chance to show her talents.

I know many people say that they won't completely "cross out" Gui Gui, but even so, they are already bias in their decison to judge Gui Gui fairly. It's going to take A LOT for Gui Gui to change the fans' perception of her, and that's not fair. Bear in mind that Gui Gui is also a newcomer in the music and acting industry. Why not just tone down the bias judgements on her and see her as Gui Gui, the female lead in PI LI MIT.

Seeing all these brought to light a new meaning to the word "obsession". I mean, fans are fans, obviously celebs would definitely appreciate their fans. Who wouldn't be glad to see that people are supporting them? I mean, yeah, fans have their special characteristics and behavior towards their idol, but these things which probably happen quite often, are, in my personal opinion not part of the "criteria" of fans.

Celebrities have personal lives too. We MUST remember that the celebrities are just people who have jobs, which requires decent popularity. They have feelings too. They're human. I think people ought to watch what they say because words can really hurt.

Humans have feelings. :) I hope that fans will show respect for their idols or even enemy-idols. :)

Alpha 05♥

Alpha 05-2008

This group consisting of 20+ people had bonded so quickly within 3 days. All of us had worked together in the games. We cheered hard, played hard, and laughed hard. In our 3 days in Pioneer Junior College's J1 Orientation, we had set aside the secondary school ties and instead, focused on the now. During the orientation, I found myself rarely thinking of my past secondary school. Many of us were strangers and within such a short span of days, became friends. I'm sure everyone in Alpha 05 had enjoyed their time with the group. All of us were enthusiastic, hyper and friendly. :)

If everyone else was like that, I believe the planet will be a happier place where the term "It's a dog eat dog world" is only heard of, but never seen. I realized the importance of TEAMWORK. Teamwork is a word we often heard, especially at camps, however, what about the real world? Teamwork seems to be portrayed as working together to achieve a common goal, however, I often see others trying to fly solo in order to gain more recognition.

Hopefully, everyone will see Teamwork as working together, everyone having an equal part to do. Teamwork doesn't exist just in camps, it can exist everywhere else too. :) Alpha 05 showed me that.

Happy New Year to Everyone! :)

This year is a fresh new start. So everyone just let go of the past and focus on the future. This new year is laid out in front of us. :)

Hope everyone will have wishes, dreams and hopes for this brand new year!
This is a chance for everyone to have a fresh start. Don't worry so much on what you've done in the past, instead, focus on carving a brand new you.

2007 has been such a hectic and stressful year for me, and I'm sure for many others as well. I'm hoping to become a better me.

This blog is only updated in times when I feel that there is insightful or encouraging to say. Hope those who do read my blog will be filled with insight, encouragement, and understanding. :)

I'm sure everyone is waiting for a fresh new beginning, so do I. I hope to better improve myself in body, mind, and knowledge.

Hope everyone has a happy new year! Remember to have your new year resolutions and stick to it. :)
